Share a family budget
Invite your household into the same workspace — everyone keeps their own card and login, but every receipt and voice capture lands in one shared budget. Lens then drills from a spending category down to individual products across the whole family, ranked by amount, frequency or price per item, so "who bought what" stops being an argument and starts being a screen you both look at. The Free plan already supports a shared workspace for two; Family Standard and Family Pro raise the member limit further.
Close the month with the bank
At month's end, export your bank statement as CSV, XLSX or OFX and import it. The matcher pairs each bank row against a receipt or voice capture you've already logged — same amount, roughly the same date — and highlights whatever it can't confidently pair on its own. From there, closing the month is a couple of taps per unmatched row: confirm a match it got right, or file the leftover manually. Income rows are detected and set aside automatically, so they never inflate your spending totals.
No slip at the counter
Some purchases never come with a receipt worth keeping — a market stall, a tip, a faded thermal printout. Dictate the product and the price instead: "coffee, two fifty" becomes a line item in seconds, filed under the same category a scanned receipt would get. Voice capture isn't a fallback bolted onto the app; it counts toward the same monthly quota and shows up identically in Lens, Trends and Records alongside every photographed purchase.
Cash and the ATM
An ATM withdrawal isn't spending by itself — it's cash moving from your account into your pocket. Precise Spend treats it as a transfer into a cash wallet rather than an unexplained outflow, so your bank-import totals aren't inflated by money you haven't actually spent yet. Every purchase you then make with that cash — scanned or dictated — draws down the wallet the same way a card purchase draws down an account, so nothing is counted twice and nothing disappears into a mystery lump.
Add a category for a new pet
Create the category while assigning a purchase, without leaving the receipt. Open a purchase's category picker and search for the name you need, such as aquarium care. If an existing category fits, select it. Otherwise, tap Add. Review the AI-suggested parent, or choose another from the indented list. Confirm creation and select the category for the purchase. The same category is available to your family.
Tidy up the family budget
Bring related spending together while keeping past receipts. Open categories in Family settings or the category picker, then tap the pencil. Rename a category or move a branch to the parent that makes sense for your family. To remove an unnecessary category, review the deletion preview and choose where its purchases should go. The parent is suggested by default. Confirm and revisit analysis: past purchases are now grouped using the updated tree.
